Export Orders - What you need to know
We are able to offer a number of options for customer based outside the UK or for those based in the UK exporting the goods from the UK, general details are below. Whilst we do have container lots from time to time on our site we have found the vast majority of our customers prefer to select individual pallets and tailor make a container to suit their own market.
We do offer discounts on volume orders but its is purely based on what you are buying and how much, we can only work out a discount once we know these two key factors. If you wish to visit and select you are welcome to do so, alternatively you can order online and we will get both shipping quotes and totals by return.
EU VAT requirements / details
If you are an EU VAT registered customer we have certain rules which would apply for your order based on how the goods are exported. If you intend to claim your VAT back from us or zero rate the order we now require a copy of your VAT certificate when you place your order, in addiiton the followiing applies
Collected orders : If you arrange your own transport we will require your carrier to supply a CMR during the collection which we will fill in and stamp. When the goods arrive at your location you will need to stamp and sign the CMR and return it by fax or email. Your VAT number must also be valid at the time the invoice is raied and will be checked ont VIES online checking service.
Goods Shipped by us : If we ship your goods we simply require a valid VAT number and the goods must be shipped to the registered VAT address for us to not charge VAT on the original order. We will of course also require a copy of the VAT certificate as normal.
European mainland - 20ft/40ft Containers, Carton & Pallet delivery to
For most of the European mainland, Eastern and Western, we are able to get quotes for full container loads, single or multi pallet orders and also single cartons. In order to get a quote we simply need your postal area code and town and some idea of the volume you want shipping, i.e. pallets, cartons or container loads.
You will see on our site prices for carton delivery across Europe as these are standard rates, pallets and container prices vary week to week so we have to request quotes from our shippers for these orders.
You are also welcome to arrange collection with your own carriers. We understand that you can get a competitive quote from many haulage companies who are dropping loads in the UK and looking for a load back home so its always worth checking.
Exports outside of Europe - Africa /Middle East etc.
In most cases if you are shipping outside of Europe you would need to take either a 20ft or 40ft load to ensure the shipping is cost effective. To ship a carton or pallet is normally very expensive so we do not normally do this. Once again you are welcome to arrange collection with your own carrier.
If you are exporting into Africa we have a lot of experience of what you can and cannot ship along with the paperwork required. Please feel free to ask us if you are not sure.
If you arrange your own shipping then we do charge VAT which can be refunded once we have proof of export, copy bill of lading etc.
